The end of Iraq, what is the solution?
After 11years the product of ethnic and sectarian federal system in Iraq which created by the US is religious war between Shia and Sunni groups that make the Iraqi society falling apart. This is the instability receipt which made by George W Bush as a result of the invasion at 2003. It was a new conservatism policy to declare the war for controlling the region and the petrol market through the invasion of Iraq regardless what is bring the war to Iraqi people. The new world order of new conservatism system made the federal sectarian democracy system depend on religious and ethnic identity. In Iraq they enforced these identities to shape the political system and when they knew this mess and fail it going coast them a lot then they left these aggressive fractions to fight each other.
Know the war between these religious capitalist parties over the power in Iraq had become battle field for the regional powers like Iran, Saudi Arabia and Turkey. Especially the war in Syria gave these regional powers reasons to expand their battle field and connect it with the Iraq crises. Now we can see the cocktail of war in the Middle East made of Iraq and Syria war. ISIS is product and a part of this regional war and they have an opportunity to grow and remain as a brutal power because of this regional and sectarian war but they are not the only problem as the US and British imperialists power they want to cover their failed system via media.
What is the solution for Iraq?
The solution is not changing Maliki to another PM or give the Kurds and Sunni more. This sectarian federation system is a field for war between these fractions not a field for solving the solution. After 11 years of dividing Iraqi people and polarised the whole political system through the religious identities they formed militias of hundred thousand armed people. They divided Iraq to different areas which controlled by different militias. It is worse than the Yugoslavia in nineteenth of last century. They made no choice for keeping Iraqi people with peace. Both sides ISIS and Sistani calling for holly war and they gathered hundreds thousands of armed forces for this war. They are going to genocide Iraqi civil people as we see it now every day. I personally think the dividing Iraq to three states it the solution to prevent this circular genocide and war. That unfortunately makes three states with three ethnic and religious identity Kurds, Shia and Sunni but it is less harmful scenario than the war between these fractions inside a sectarian federal system.
What is the situation and solution for Kurdistan?
The Iraqi Kurdistan as a part of Iraq is in dangers situation as well. It is real this part in de facto is more independent but the Kurdish nationalist parties are part of sectarian federation system. They are not caring about Kurdish people request for independent and living far from sectarian war in Iraq. The KDP and PUK who are following US policy in Iraq and they are playing between Iran and Turkey influence. They have a militia system which cooperate with the sectarian federal system in Iraq. They are having benefits in this federal system because it is allowed them to keep their fortune of oil and region under the name of Kurdish part of federal state in Iraq. This sectarian and regional war don’t let the Kurdish nationalist parties to have their sweet part of this cake without sharing the war and the consequences of this regional dividing. The Kurdish people are sacrificing for their play with sectarian war fire. To avoid this destiny I think the best solution for Kurdistan is to held referendum for independence and declare the independent state in Kurdistan.
The solution for Kirkuk and the other area which has Kurdish population is to hold an independent referendum for all people in these cities and towns to choose between join independent Kurdistan state or remain with the other part of Iraq. The referendum and the oil issue should supervised by UN and international committee.
What solidarity can do?
This situation is over the ability of Iraqi people and progressive parties in Iraq and Kurdistan to be change and prevent genocide civilians. There more then million people fled from their homes and most of them now in the bad condition in Kurdistan. These people they need political and humanitarian solidarity from the international community. The solidarity movement with Iraqi people is to put pressure on UN and International organizations for forcing political solution to end up this sectarian war and sending peace keepers to prevent this genocide and war crimes that happening every day by the ISIS and Shia militias. This movement can send support message for referendum, self-determination and independent right as a solution for Kurdistan. This solidarity movement can help refugee people and send them necessities. As you know we are having solidarity night tonight for them. It is an important moment for showing solidarity for Iraqi people before the situation is getting worse and we be speechless and helpless. It is an international issue and we have to show our international responsibility. We are as worker-communist parties in Iraq and Kurdistan need your international solidarity to get out Iraqi and Kurdish people from this dark scenario. All capitalist nationalist and Islamic parties in Iraq have their alliance from imperialist and regional reactionary states and we need our progressive and socialist front as well.
